UK Function BandsAll function bands in the UK play to an industry-standard performance length of 2 x 45 minute sets, which usually kick off around 9pm for most function bands / weddings etc, and this generally caters to the most important part of the evening, when your guests are keen to party. If you are using a DJ as well, these times work very well, keeping the audience entertainment fresh on a regular rotation. Quite often however, most function bands will agree to a request of a longer performance time of 3 x 40 minute sets this is generally considered when a client decides not to use a DJ, and therefore needs their function bands to play for a slightly longer period. This is always agreed upon in advance, and either way, your dance floor audience will always be well catered for. Regarding function bands and their song selections, at AffordaBand, we understand completely what our clients are almost always trying to achieve with their event's entertainment. We've never had a client hire one of our function bands because they wanted a 'slow night of dull songs!' so we don't have any bands that can play slow songs! We know that without doubt, most of our clients require upbeat dance floor-filling classic party music - never anything self-indulgent or slow, so we only represent premium function bands who play nothing but big party anthems from the 60's right up to the current day.
